When asked about this Murugadoss said, “It is true that I had narrated the story to Rajinikanth. But now he is busy with Endhiran and I am also busy with Shahrukh film. I may get the opportunity to work with Rajini after these projects are completed. My ambition is to direct Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.”

Sources say there are innumerable surprises in Shankar’s forthcoming Endhiran. This awesome combo is coming out with ideas which are just out of the world, said a source in the unit. Word has got out that Rajinikanth will be seen in 100 different styles during a song in the film.

Hectic shooting activity was reported from Ramoji Film Studios in Hyderabad, and India’s best choreographers are working on this film. One of the songs was recently completed. It is heard that Rajinikanth plays a dual role in this film produced by Sun Pictures.

Music for the film was composed by A.R. Rahman more than an year ago. Almost all the songs of the film have been canned till now; only the climax needs to be shot. The film is expected to be completed by end of this year.

‘Endhiran’ is a sci-fi thriller. This film sees Aishwarya Rai donning nearly 57 different makeovers! The beauty has been filmed in an exclusive Mexican tribe’s makeover which is sure to have a jaw-dropping effect on the youth.

Aish will be seen in the Mexican makeover for a song sequence.

Oja Rajini is responsible for the different make over worn by Aish. Much of the filming has been under wraps, but thanks to the enthusiastic technicians who leak out some stories unknowingly. Manish Malhotra’s costumes have given a refreshing look and feel to the film; he is the man behind the costumes for the lead pair throughout the film.

The film which has expectations running high has music by Oscar winner AR Rahman .

Director Shankar, working on the multi-crore project, had round of discussions with graphic designers before going in to shooting of the song. Sporting costumes were specially designed for Rajni and movements choreographed with as many as 100 variations.

Interestingly, just when this song was being shot at one floor of the Ramoji Film City, actors Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and Venkatesh were shooting for Unnaipol Oruvan at another floor of the venue.

Once Rajini had told a leading director that they understood his body movements and its capabilities better than anybody else.

Rajinikanth makes it a point to have a song choreographed by Prabu. The latest we hear is that Prabu is in Hyderabad Ramoji Rao studio doing very difficult song for Shankar’s Endhiran.

The grapevine has it that Rajini is playing a dual role in the film as a scientist and a Robot. The buzz is that there is a song where two Rajinikanth’s come together for a brief period.

The rumour mill has it that Prabu Deva had to conceptualize two different dance movements for Rajinikanth in the same song. But the ace dance master and the superstar has pulled off the impossible, as it has turned out to be wow!

Remember the Vaaji, Vaaji, title song shot on Rajini and Shriya in Sivaji, showing the superstar’s heroism? The song was picturised with all Shankar trademarks of splendor, glamour and glitz with Madhusree singing to A.R Rahman’s tune.

Something similar in style with more richness and grandeur is being planned by the “showman of south cinema” Shankar on Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai for Endhiran accompanied by nearly 1000 junior artists, all of them wearing silver colored ‘Robo’ costumes. This song which was recorded recently by A.R Rahman was also sung by Madhusri.

It will be one of the most expensive songs in Kollywood, as the Robo costumes with thongs worn by the group dancers is said to be very expensive. It will be shot on a set created by art director Sabu Cyril in a Hyderabad studio, and will be a major highlight of the film.

However much Shankar has beefed up the security, he has been unable to prevent this leakage of information. .For the fourth time, someone has shot ‘Endhiran’ and really stunned Shankar.

Shankar had planned to shoot a song on grand sets put up at Ramojirao Film City . Because of security expenses and production costs, Sun TV that is producing the film, turned down this idea. The cost of taking artistes to Hyderabad and the accommodation costs would make the budget escalate.

To help control costs, Sun TV has put at Shankar’s disposal, the plot of land it owns near MRC Nagar, where he can put up whatever sets he wants. This would be secure as well as control costs, says the production department. This being feasible, Shankar has agreed to the suggestion, so work is going on at brisk pace to put up the set at MRC Nagar.

A grand wedding set has been put up at a Chennai studio, where Rajini and Aishwarya rai get married in the film. Many millionaires are supposed to attend the wedding and according to inside source sin ‘Endhiran,’ nearly 2 crores were spent just for this scene.

To show luxury cars of millionaires, several cars from Chennai were rounded up for the scene. It seems this made the shooting spot look as if a real luxury wedding was taking place. Most of the cars were lent free for the shooting with their owners declaring that their cars featuring in a Rajini film was almost as if they themselves were acting in it!

According to production sources, cars of 20 lakhs and above were used in the shooting.

Right at this moment, Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai are participating in Endhiran’s shooting being held in a studio in Saligramam amidst tight security. Or should we say the tightest security ever! With the help of police and 50 efficient security men that Shankar hand-picked from the best of the security agencies, the director has completely sealed off the shooting area from the public. We saw about 25 security personnel around Aishwarya Rai’s caravan. Boy! She looks stunningly beautiful in Endhiran. Rajinikanth and Shankar were busy discussing a scene.

Though a huge crowd gathered around, it soon dispersed realizing it is impossible to break through and catch a glimpse of their favourite stars! The shooting will be over very soon and the Endhiran crew will hold the next shooting in a different area, yet to be disclosed!
